Haitian Restaurant Week is expanding its reach this year through new partnerships with community organizations including Little Haiti BK, Little Caribbean and several chambers of commerce, organizers announced ahead of the 2026 celebration.

The annual event, scheduled for May 9-24 during Haitian Heritage Month, aims to use those collaborations to increase visibility for Haitian-owned restaurants, food trucks, caterers and vendors across the United States, Haiti and beyond.

Organizers say the partnerships reflect a growing effort to connect Haitian culinary businesses with neighborhood institutions and economic development groups while introducing more visitors to Haitian cuisine.

“This initiative is about more than just food — it’s about economic empowerment and community building,” Nadège Fleurimond said in a press release. “By supporting our Haitian restaurants, food vendors and chefs, we are investing in our culture and creating long-term opportunities for growth.”

Presented by Tap Tap Now, Chef Stephan Durand, Bonspoon Media and Fleurimond, Haitian Restaurant Week has evolved into a global culinary showcase with participating businesses spanning New York, Massachusetts, Florida, Georgia, Chicago, Haiti, Canada and France.

Participating establishments will offer special menus, discounts and curated dining experiences throughout the two-week celebration. Organizers have also planned chef demonstrations, business panels and cultural programming tied to kickoff and closing events.

The festival’s closing “Manje Lakay” event in Brooklyn will feature discussions on the future of Haitian cuisine, live cooking demonstrations and vendors showcasing Haitian food products and artisanal goods. Additional programming is also planned in Haiti, according to organizers.

Durand said the event continues to serve as a way to introduce broader audiences to Haitian culture through food.

“Haitian cuisine is a story of resilience, heritage and love,” Durand said. “Through Haitian Restaurant Week, we are not only sharing our delicious food, but we are also educating people on the deep cultural significance behind every dish.”
